Fine European Antiques
CORONA DEL MAR, A DELIGHTFUL village in Newport Beach, means “Crown of the Sea” in Spanish and a jewel in this crown is Tres Belle, a wonderful antiques shop owned and operated by interior designer Elizabeth Foote. It is full of treasures: a magnificent 18th Century Italian secretary, a sensational 17th Century French limestone fireplace, a plethora of English silver and a truly beautiful antique chinoiserie tall case clock.
There are incredible pieces wherever one looks, all set in vignettes that makes one feel they are in one of the great European homes of the past. Elizabeth Foote is an extraordinary lady and the excitement one feels in the store is a reflection of her enthusiasm for the culmination of years of collecting and her long involvement in the design world. The antiques in the shop are only a small array of vast inventory of “one of a kind” 17th, 18th and 19th century pieces which she has been collecting over many years.
The majority of the collection was acquired during many trips to Europe; combing the hidden away countryside towns and villages for those special pieces. Elizabeth has an incredible eye for the finer things as a collector, designer and perfectionist. Her passion is evident in every enchanted display of unique antiques, one of a kind accessories and special little collectibles.
Tres Belle which by the way, means “Very Beautiful” in French and it is truly a “Little Jewel.”
